Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF) in Collaboration with NIHR Global Health Research Unit for Cardiovascular Disease and Type-2 Diabetes in South Asians at Imperial College London
Seeks Expressions of Interest from Providers of Health Apps and Online Platforms for ‘Novel Apps’ in Diabetes Prevention
Under this collaboration we want to develop the evidence base and establish the feasibility and effectiveness of digital behaviour change interventions to reduce the risk of Type 2 Diabetes.
The digital study as part of this collaborative project is looking to identify potential digital interventions that have already been launched. These interventions will be offered as part of a pilot study to around 100 to 200 people at-risk for diabetes in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, South India. We will evaluate both the implementation of the digital interventions and specific tangible outcomes for people that have accessed them.
We are inviting providers and developers of health apps and online platforms to submit their products for consideration.
The inclusion criteria that we have set for this ‘call for diabetes prevention/healthy lifestyle & fitness apps’ are as follows:
- They focus on a positive healthy lifestyle and diabetes/CVD prevention
- Must support behaviour change
- Should include weight/activity trackers etc.
MDRF will undertake a review of available products. If you have a product which would support this work please click here for more information and to submit your application.
The call period to submit your application is open from August 25th 2019 until 12:00 midnight (IST) on September 15th 2019.
