The MDRF is an autonomous, non-profitable, R&D organization, recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt. of India. MDRF is affiliated to both the University of Madras and the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai for offering Ph.D programs under the supervision of independent scientists.

Our mission is to deliver the most competent and diverse solutions for our staff to help them build an organization in which everyone can be someone. We believe that our ‘PEOPLE’ will continue to contribute with the same dedication and enthusiasm towards achieving the organization’s vision of providing and attaining “Excellence in Diabetes Research". The essence of our human resource policy is that "each member of the team is our most valuable asset", who unlike other physical assets will appreciate in value with time given the appropriate organizational support and environment.

The functionalities of each of the departments are executed with utmost care to ensure that staffs are developed with due care and support to enable them to contribute their best to the institution. We focus on developing our people to achieve excellence through empowerment and due acknowledgement of their exceptional efforts. Continuous and periodical Career Development Programs and Performance Evaluations via promotions and appraisals respectively serve to encourage and develop our staff and instill a sense of belonging and mutually beneficial association.
