Department of Healthy Ageing

The Department of Healthy Ageing at the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF) is a dedicated centre focused on promoting longevity with independence, dignity and quality of life. The department adopts a preventive, multidisciplinary, and evidence-based approach to address the unique health needs of older adults, especially those living with diabetes and other chronic conditions.

Healthy ageing is not merely about adding years to life, but about adding life to years maintaining physical function, cognitive health, emotional well-being, and social engagement.
