SUMMER RESEARCH TRAINING FOR B-Tech/ M-Tech, M.Sc Students at MDRF

We have been helping students for summer training (3 weeks to 4 weeks) at the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF), Chennai and this programme is very successful as evident from the enormous applications we receive all through the year.

The summer training is a sort of research protocol demonstrations in various departments (Cell & Molecular Biology, Biochemistry & Genetics, Tissue culture, Animal lab) along with interactive lectures and discussion. The training would facilitate research aptitude and encourage you to take-up biomedical research as a career. The training has a nominal fee structure of Rs.10,000/- per student and placements will be offered 'first come –first served' basis. We advise you to make an advance payment so that it will help our administrative procedures and restrict placements only for 20 students per batch (May 15th – June 15th 2013 & June 15th - July 15th 2013). Advance payment should be made by DD favouring ‘Madras Diabetes Research Foundation, payable at Chennai. Along with the payment, you need to submit your C.V. and bonafide certificate from your HOD. The deadline for the submission of the application (CV) along with fee is May 10th 2013 (May- June batch) & May 30th 2013 for (June- July batch) . However, as mentioned before, once we enroll 20 students per batch, it would not be possible to accommodate more students. On completion of the summer training, students will be provided with appropriate certificate from the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation. Students outside Chennai need to take care of accommodation themselves. If you need any further clarification contact Dr. M. Balasubramanyam  at drbalu@mdrf.in
